His frankness and deep voice made him successful. Chantal Ladesou is one of France’s favorite comedians. Later revealed “La Classe” – she was 44 years old – at the age of 74 she experienced a resurgence in popularity among young people thanks to her participation in the “Mask Singer” program on TF1.
Always ready to make people laugh, this self-mocking workaholic drew strength from comedy to overcome the greatest test of her life: the tragic loss of her eldest son, Alix, who died in a car accident at the age of 21, 27 years ago. A drama that she modestly talks about very little, but which she mentions in “50′ inside” this Saturday on TF1 (an excerpt from the video can be found at the beginning of this article).
Make others laugh to heal your wounds
“When this tragedy happened to me, I was busy in a very funny tabloid play called “My wife went crazy.” All my comrades really did everything for me to return, and it’s true, it helped me a lot “ modestly recalls Chantal Ladesu. “It didn’t make me forget because you will never forget, but it helped me because I needed to make people laugh.” continues the artist who never stopped working.
