Immigration: “Republicans are in a shallot race they will lose” – Judge Christian Estrosi at the LCI.

He fires red bullets at his former Republican associates. This Tuesday, May 23rd, Horizons Nice Mayor Christian Estrosi was the guest of the LCI. And this is a few hours before the meeting with the Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin in Bovo. An opportunity for a city council member and former minister to take on LR, who submitted a counterproposal on the immigration issue on Sunday. “It’s a pose to try and find a place”he got down to business.

While the government intends to introduce an immigration bill by the summer, Christian Estrosi is very strict about the proposals of the Republicans. “If we impose most of these measures on National Rally measures (…), the Republicans will still be in a shallot race that they will lose”he appreciated. “There are three types of proposals on their part: the first, which completely coincides with Darmanin’s law, the second with [la fin de] State medical assistance (…) And reciprocity (…) in which we can discuss both the caricature and the completely unconstitutional third part”he clarified.

“I’m Not Convinced of the Good Faith of the Republicans”, he reasoned. Although he says he hopes the government can find “chords” on a range of topics with LR and the train “coalition majority. And this, in particular, with regard to immigration, since the government has only a relative majority in the National Assembly.

“It’s just a pose”

“You can engage in populism at little cost, especially when you want to derogate from international or European law. That is, simply blow up Europe.”calculated a member of the city council of Nice and ex-Minister Nicolas Sarkozy. “We need a qualified two-thirds majority [de l’ensemble du Parlement] For amend the constitution. It’s just a pose”Christian Estrosi explained. As early as Monday, Labor Minister Olivier Dussaud issued a decision. “unthinkable” constitutional reform.
