“The Problem of Immigration Control”. Nicolas Dupont-Aignan condemned on Friday “the bankruptcy of the European system” following a knife attack that injured six people, including four small children, on Thursday morning in Annecy. An attack by a Syrian refugee in a normal situation who was granted asylum in Sweden in 2013, where he lived for ten years.
“It’s not normal for him to be on French soil”he appreciated. “The European system does not work. (…) The case of this Syrian asylum seeker from Sweden is a failure of the European system.”

“We have implemented a completely crazy European system that relieves the national authorities of their responsibility. (…) With the Schengen area, the safety of the French will never be guaranteed”continued the president of Debout la France, urging “restore national borders”.
