VIDEO – Pensions: Elizabeth Born has a tough week ahead

Mission Impossible for Elizabeth Bourne? To relieve tension after the adoption of pension reform, the prime minister is trying to start a cycle of discussions. On Monday, she invites political parties and parliamentary opposition groups. On Wednesday the unions are expected in Matignon.

Will the head of government be able to overcome, project himself into the future, the missionary letter given by Emmanuel Macron? Nothing less confident. After the LFI and PCF, the environmentalists, in turn, declined the Prime Minister’s invitation for this Monday. Marine Tondelier, EELV national secretary, says she refuses to participate in “communication operation” executive power, which only does for her “act out the dialogue without even listening or moving”.

“Either withdrawal or referendum”

“They used 49.3 and we were told that after all this long process ‘okay, finally we want to talk’PCF Senator Fabien Gay also reacted to the LCI. “But what? Now there are two solutions: either withdrawal or a referendum. So we remain open to dialogue. And since we remain open to dialogue, on Tuesday we will go to the President of the Republic.”

Instead of going to Matignon on Monday, MPs on the left are planning to walk from the National Assembly to the Elysee Palace on Tuesday so that Emmanuel Macron can hear their voices. This time without an appointment.

As for the unions, they planned to respond to the invitation of Elizabeth Bourne on Wednesday. But they set their own conditions. Although the Prime Minister has already ruled out “Pause” reforms, the new CGT boss, Sophie Binet, warned that the union was meeting in Matignon to “demand the abolition of the reform”. Laurent Bergé (CFDT) also put forward a delay of majority until age 64 as a mandatory condition for retirement.
