A week after very violent clashes between police and demonstrators in Sainte-Solin during a banned demonstration against the megapool project, the political debate is far from abated. Marine Tondelier stepped down from responsibility for Gérald Darmanin in the Le Grand Jury RTL/LCI program on April 2 this year, which “pour fuel on the fire” aimed at environmentalists. “He makes very serious amalgams, equating environmentalists with eco-terrorists. (…) Words matter”considers the Secretary General of the European Association for the Environment Les Verts (EELV), qualifying the Minister of the Interior as “fireman-arsonist” WHO “does not pacify the debate.”
“No ZAD” in Sainte-Solin, denies EELV
This Sunday, in an interview with JDD, Gerald Darmanin, among other things, again mentioned the situation in St. Solin. “There is an intellectual terrorism of the extreme left, which consists in reversing values: the bandits become the victims of the attack, and the police the aggressors.”particularly blamed the minister, speaking of the violence at Sainte-Solin as “partisan” and promising that “there will be no more back in our country.” “We were in St. Solin, there was never any talk of installing an ASD there. (…) He kindles a fire, talking about eco-sabotage, directs all his forces to St. Solin when he has no ASD,” said Marin Tondelier about this.
The situation can only get worse in a political and social context where there is also violence on the sidelines of anti-pension reform demonstrations, the elected environmentalist said. “I’m non-violent, I always have been, but I’m having more and more trouble convincing me that this is the right method. I want to solemnly say that this will not end well.”she warned, foreseeing “catastrophe” coming. “The doctrine of maintaining order is a problem in this country. There are, of course, individual mistakes, but by sending (the police) to the front line and inciting, Darmanin makes them victims. The government is organizing an escalation.”

Invited in turn, Stephane Sejourne, replied to Marine Tondelier and reasoned that“There are more shocking words of Gerald Darmanin in this period” quoting “Threats to elected officials” Or “fake police news”. According to the general secretary of the Renaissance, “We cannot start this discussion with the words that the police system incites violence, we walk on the head. There is no maintenance of order, there are rules. On a par with Emmanuel Macron Stefan Sejourne instead attacked La France Insoumise (LFI), whose “a political project (…) aims to destabilize our regime and our institutions.”
