After football, it was tennis’s turn to have its power give way to business. A complaint about embezzlement of state property and corruption against the French Tennis Federation (FFT) has been filed with the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office, the latter said on Monday.
The complaint filed by the leaders of the Federation is under consideration, the PNF reported, without specifying details. The corresponding period has not yet been disclosed. The general manager of the FFT from March 2021 to May 2022 was the current sports minister Amélie Oudéa-Castera. The FFT, joined by AFP, did not immediately comment on this complaint.

The complaint comes weeks after the publication of an investigation in the media that questioned the management and financial management practices of the Federation following the election of President Gilles Moretton in early 2021. According to RMC Sport, the corps went through a wave of significant layoffs: 130 out of 400 employees in two years. However, according to the radio, the leaders also denounced the meetings where “some leaders tolerate public humiliation, even offensive language.”
