This could turn into a tragedy. The door of an Asiana Airlines plane opened on Friday as it prepared to land in Daegu, South Korea. This is an Airbus A321-200. It was one of the passengers who pulled the lever two to three minutes before the plane hit the ground, causing the cabin to depressurize. Police are investigating an incident after a passenger sitting near an emergency exit said he touched a lever.one of the representatives of the company told Reuters, adding that the gates opened at an altitude of about 200 meters above sea level.
A short video of the incident, shared by local media, shows wind rushing through an open door mid-air, fabric headrests and passengers’ hair blowing in all directions, and some screaming.

no casualties
Luckily, all 200 travelers were seated and strapped in at the time of the incident as the plane was about to land, Asiana Airlines said. In another video posted to social media, passengers seated in the emergency exit row, next to the open door, are seen being slammed into the wind. However, the unexpected opening of the door caused breathing difficulties for some passengers, who were taken to the hospital after landing. South Korean news agency Yonhap reported nine people were hospitalized.
An investigation has been launched to determine the exact circumstances of the incident. “The passenger was taken (to the police station) for questioning why he opened the door”a police source told AFP.

This episode is all the more surprising because “it is technically impossible to open these doors in flight”Jeffrey Thomas, Airline Ratings aviation expert, told CNN. “It seems implausible that the door could ever be opened and remain open despite the force of the wind, but somehow it happened.”he added.
