He said Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni “unable to solve the migration issues for which she was elected”.
In response, Antonio Tajani, vice premier and No. 2 of Forza Italia (right), a minor partner in Georgia Meloni’s ultra-conservative coalition, canceled a meeting with Catherine Colonna scheduled for the same day in Paris. “I am always very happy to come to Paris. My personal connection with France is very strong. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the verdicts, possibly related to the domestic politics of France, but unacceptable.”explained the head of Italian diplomacy, regarding the cancellation of his trip to France.

But, according to the Italian minister, this tension will not continue. When asked about the diplomatic incident and whether it was closed, Antonio Tajani answered in the affirmative. “Absolutely yes. For us, we must move forward.”he called, referring to the many areas in which France and Italy should cooperate, including immigration or Ukraine.
