VIDEO – Between Andalusia and Catalonia, these amazing Spanish landscapes look like the Wild West

Duel Colt, Ennio Morricone in the background. Every costume, every detail is reminiscent of a Western scene. Far western atmosphere, but this is not cinema, this is Andalusia. Before becoming a theme park, this Tabernas desert village was a temple of 7ᵉ art. He especially inspired the great Sergio Leone. The directors chose this location because of the quality of the light, the sunlight, and also because the landscape is reminiscent of the American West.

Pushing open the saloon door means following in the footsteps of a certain Clint Eastwood, rediscovering a Spain worthy of the greatest film sets. Stetson on head, we trot up the east coast in search of wide open spaces. We arrived at La Garrotxa Volcanic Park. The first light of day is magnificent. There is a special color that illuminates 41 volcanoes, which is best seen from a hot air balloon.

Head to Castelfollit de la Roca, a village of 1,000 inhabitants that miraculously perches on huge lava pillars. The Iberian lands in places offer unreal landscapes. This is especially true of Guadix and its impressive troglodyte dwellings.
